TRUTH is such a sacred word that whenever one hears it accidentally, reads it incidentally, thinks of it by chance, or encounters it somewhere, he couldn’t stop but strain his spinal nerves pretending to immediate about it like a erudite sage regardless of what he really is in reality.  Since the time we first came into contact with it, the glory and the inviolability of truth has been inserted into our head.  Some take advantage of the solemnity of truth as their booby trap to play tricks on those innocent and unsophisticated; flatteries from philosophers, scientists, and revolutionists flood into common people’s eyes and ears; politicians and advocators specially spare no less of their favoritism to flirt with it.  But neither human’s vanity nor his attempt is any concern of the truth’s.  So, when we began to form the concept of truth, did we just accept what those “eminent”celebrities claimed it to be for their own benefits, or, in other words, did we just cheated by the fake truth on the way of pursuing the real one?

So confusing a query requires us to examine the basis it rests on——what is truth?  Is what we watch on TV and read in newspapers and magazines the truth?  Is the morality that we were told in our childhood, youth and now, the truth?  Is it the truth that studying hard will improve our ability and skills and enable us to be a postgraduate of a key university, and being a postgraduate earns glory and honor, which would secure our happiness forever?  Can it possible that what we hear, we see, and we believe are all the truth, or it proves just the contrary?  Rather than entangled with such intriguing questions, let’s put it aside for a while and see what common people react when they come across such issues.
